Leadership arts award

Arts award Leadership
CUTE DOGS!!!
For my project I am going to make a Pinterest about cute dogs. The Pinterest is going to be an image board full of photos of pictures of really cute dogs. I am going to be the leader of this page and am also going to have Jack helping me find the images.

Planning:
What I need to do to make my project happen.
  • I am going to set up the pinterest while jack find the images that we will include.
  • I will then collect all of Jack's images onto my pinterest board and add comments.
  • I will also produce an image in PhotoShop to add to the Pinterest board to include some creative digital imaging skills.
  • When I get feedback from my Pinterest board being shared and looked at, I will review it in this blog. Finally, I will make a review of how well I carried out this part of the project.

As the leader I have to have good technical skills and also show good leadership. Other qualites that I need to develop my Time Managment and my willingness to work with others.

Furthermore to make sure the images are at there best quality jack is going to edit some of them in Photoshop.

This is my graph showing my project and who is in it and there roles in the project.

Target Audience:
My target audience is young people and adults aged between 14 to 40. I have chosen this age range because they are the one that are mainly on the internet. Also my page is aimed at both gender but I think Woman will be the main people who view this page.

How I will get feedback:
I will get feedback by putting the linking on my Facebook page and ask people to review it. Also i will send the link to people on direct message so i can get there feedback straight away.

Review

I have developed my leadership skills by working with other's before I didn't like working with other people because they always work to slow but with this challenge i have found out that people work at different speeds and are different.

My project planner worked very well if I forgot what I needed to do I just looked at my project planner and it helped me also it helped Jack if he could not get in to with me he could look at the project planner.

The achievement of this challenge is that I got to work in a team that worked hard and well also the end product look amazing it was what I thought it would look like when I was planning.

My feedback didn't have any bad reviews so they is nothing I have learnt from them feedback

If I was going to do this again I would change the topic of the board and also get more people involved other then just Jack.

Arts Award Research

The type of media I like is music and film editing, I like music because I love to sing and lessen to music. Music is such a powerful thing you can tell how someone is felling by what music there lessening to. For an example my friends know when am upset when I listen to Elvis because it reminds me of my nan, but when i listen to an example Megan Tranior am happy or hyper.

This music video is of Megan Tranior singing Dear Future Husband. Megan Tranior is an American singer and song writer she was born on December 22nd 1993 she i currently 21 years of age. She is know for her song All About That Bass. The reason i like Megan Tranior is because all of her songs have a meaning. I have been to see her live and she was amazing. I seen her live at Birmingham at The Institute.

Singer

To find work with music there are many ways you can get started, you can go to companions such as X-factor or the Voice. Theirs other way many people but Youtube videos up of them singing to see what other people think of them. Some people are lucky a music company could see your video and like what you can do so they would contact you asking if you want to sign for them.

You don't need any qualifications or education to be a singer all you need is experiences, a good voice and motivation.

The qualities you will need to succeed in the music industry is that you have to be a down to earth person and confederate in yourself because if your shy you wont go far because you would be scared to go on stage.

Some singers careers can change because there is so may different pathways that they can go down for an example some singers can move on to acting or invest there money into upcoming singers like Tom Johns he invests his money into people who he thinks are good. Some of the older singers start writing the Biography of there career.

My Story

On the 1st November 2014 I auditioned for Britain's Got Talent as a singer well all I can say about that day is that you don't know if you don't try. My audition was in Leeds and I had to be there for 11:00am so that meant I had to get up early to get there. There was one problem about getting up early and that was  it was Halloween the night before and I was at a party so I don't think i have to say anymore about  that. When I got to Leeds I have never felt so scared in my life the amount of people that were there it was unbelievable, We waited outside for half hour until we were we got told to go to the holding room were I collected my number and got told to sit down and wait to be called. We were sat for about 20 minutes when I got called my audition my heart went from a slow steady rhythm to a sports car going 100mph i was that scared. My mam had to come with me because I am under the age of 18 so I had to have my mam there. I went it to the room and told the person I will be singing in front of was the head producer so that made my heart speed up to 120mph. I went into the room and stood in the spot I had to the producer was really nice he asked my a couple of questions then told me to start when i was ready. I composed my self then I started singing. The song I sang was Hero by Enrique Iglesias the reason I sang this song is that it's my mams song and I also want to singing to for my nan. When i finished singing he started clapping witch made my smile also he asked my mam if she want a tissue because she was crying. the producer told me that I was good but I need a bit of training he also don't stop trying because you can do it with a little work just like Alesha Dixon so come back next year and try again. So that's my story I might not have got through but I got told to go back so that's better then nothing.

Letter to Timothy Mchugh

The person I am sending my letter to is someone called Timothy Mchugh he is a Dialogue editor, Foley artist, manager, and post-production supervisor in Manchester, United Kingdom.
The reason i am sending my letter to him is because i would love to learn more about audio because i would love to work with audio in the near fruiterer

My Event

My Event

I went to Stockton to see the high-street get re-open. I seen people dancing, performing and playing interments I went on the 21st march 2015.

The high street was getting re-opened with the water fountain what has just been built and they were having a big event for the re-opening there was a big street performance what included a big model giant telling a story about his Kingdom and that he was letting Stockton have his beautiful garden.

The art form what was involved was dancing and drama. In some of the photos you can tell that there we people dancing.

I have seen something like this before  at the Stockton Riverside Festival. The Stockton Riverside Festival also know as SRF happens every year at the end of July with a big show at the end witch is normally on the last day.

It similar to the Stockton Riverside Festival because of what happens. It was a street performance witch you see all the time at the festival.

The thing that was unexpected was that people were playing in the new water fountain, having a good time and coming to gather as a town. It was a great day as you can tell from the smiles on people's face.

I thought the whole experience was good you seen people enjoying themselves and having fun with their friends and family. Also I got to use some of my Photography skills because I had to take photo's for this document.

I thought the performance was a little disappointing because there wasn't much to it. People were saying that it was going to amazing and nothing we have seen before but when the day progressed the wind started to pick up so they had to take some of the performance out.

I learnt that greed gets you nothing it makes you lose things like friends and family. I learnt this from the performance because the giant was greed and did not want to share his garden with the village so he lost all his friends and was left alone from along time

The thoughts I had were Why was the giant so greedy and so selfish, because it led him no where it left him lonely and depressed.

In this photo you can see people dancing an playing games this was part of the show
In this photo youy can see a big egal this was part as the show as well.
In this Photo you can see the mayor of Stockton

In this Photo you see people dacing as part of the performance

The next few photos show a gaint walking throught the streets of stockton

The next few photos show the water foutain open and people playing in the water

Trip to BBC Newcastle

Trip to BBC Newcastle

On 11th of November 2014 we went on a trip to BBC Newcastle for a tour around the building. during that tour we had to ask a few question's. these questions were
  • How do you begin finding work in this are?
  • What kind of qualifications or experience do you need?
  • What are the typical working hours for this kind for this kind of job?
  • What other job opportunities could you progress onto after working in this area?
On the tour we went into allot of different rooms but as soon as you go through into the main building there is a timeline of what has happened in the building or in the area.

These two photo's are of the timeline what is at BBC Newcastle. The first photo show the first even radio production was on Saturday the 16th of January 1988 and what was said on it.
The second photo shows Byker Grove the TV shows that stars Ant and Dec. The reason this is on the timeline because it was a BBC production and also it was set in Newcastle.

On the tour we got chance to talk to two people who work for the BBC the first person was morning news presenter for Look North Colin Briggs.
We got to ask him the questions we needed to ask his answer to the first one was, you have to harass people but not to the extent that they will contact the police ask if there need help with anything and try and make yourself know. his answer to the second one was many people who come into this work earthier have a performing arts or a journalism background. his answer to the third question was I am expected to work 50 hours a week  in to be in at 4 in the morning to get ready for the show then leave at 1 in the afternoon. his answer to the fourth one was you can get transferred to a big and better building with in the BBC.

Sound Design

Sound Design

Planning
I have chosen to do a sound design for a video witch I have chosen myself.  I will take the video off YouTube and edit it by adding music and bits of audio. I will get the sound effects and the music of YouTube and I will credit them in the video. I have never done a sound design before but it looks creative and something that I might be interested in doing as a job. My strengths are thinking of what i want to do and planining it but then i strugel making the product this is one of my weekness.

Here is the link for the original video.

Here is the link for the music I am going to use.
To edit the music I will use audition. There is one sound effect that is already included into the video so I will not need to edit it into the video.

Making
This print screen show that I have added the video and the audio into audition so I can edit them
This print screen shows that I have lowed the volume of the audio and left that part’s that I want.
This print screen shows that I have added some music to my video

Here is my final product:

Evaluation
What I think went well was that I knew what I wanted for my sound design so there was to messing about trying to find the videos and sound that I wanted, I could simply go onto YouTube and download thing the things that I needed straight away.
What I think was bad was the fact i couldn’t edit the video in Audition I had to edit the video in Premier Pro, so that ment do more work to get the fainel product.
What I would improve is that I would do all the work in Premier Pro not in audition because it take up more time to do them in both.

Feedback:
Here is a printscreen of the feedback I got.

Silver arts award

Which of the tester sessions did you enjoy?

I enjoy the Video Editing,I enjoy this because its something am interested in and would enjoy doing for my challenge in the silver arts award.

This video is the video i edited when i was doing the taster session. also this is the finished product from the taster session.
When i was editing the video the parts that i found hard was import
the video into YouTube editor so i could edit it. i did not know what to do so i asked for help now i fully understated how to edit the video.

When i was editing the video the parts that i enjoyed were adding titles into the video. also i loved the fact i could use any video of my choice.

For my challenge i would like to do video editing.
