Trip to BBC Newcastle
On 11th of November 2014 we went on a trip to BBC Newcastle for a tour around the building. during that tour we had to ask a few question's. these questions were
- How do you begin finding work in this are?
- What kind of qualifications or experience do you need?
- What are the typical working hours for this kind for this kind of job?
- What other job opportunities could you progress onto after working in this area?
These two photo's are of the timeline what is at BBC Newcastle. The first photo show the first even radio production was on Saturday the 16th of January 1988 and what was said on it.
The second photo shows Byker Grove the TV shows that stars Ant and Dec. The reason this is on the timeline because it was a BBC production and also it was set in Newcastle.
On the tour we got chance to talk to two people who work for the BBC the first person was morning news presenter for Look North Colin Briggs.
We got to ask him the questions we needed to ask his answer to the first one was, you have to harass people but not to the extent that they will contact the police ask if there need help with anything and try and make yourself know. his answer to the second one was many people who come into this work earthier have a performing arts or a journalism background. his answer to the third question was I am expected to work 50 hours a week in to be in at 4 in the morning to get ready for the show then leave at 1 in the afternoon. his answer to the fourth one was you can get transferred to a big and better building with in the BBC.
